Remit
Copy Advice can guide you on the content, tone and placement of any ad that falls within the remit of the non-broadcast CAP Code. Our advisers will also provide advice on multi-media concepts.

In general, Copy Advice can provide guidance on any non-broadcast marketing communication in 'paid-for' space, including:
- Press and magazine ads
- Direct marketing
- Sales promotions
- Door drops
- Inserts
- Cinema advertising
- Outdoor and ambient media
- Online advertising, including marketing communications on your own website, or third party websites under your control.
- Commercial e-mails
- SMS / mobile marketing
- Viral marketing
- Leaflets, brochures and catalogues
From 1 March 2011 the ASA regulates advertisers own marketing communications on their own websites and in other non-paid-for space under their control. For more information on the extended remit, read the ASA digital remit extension: We have the answers article.
TV and radio ads require pre-broadcast clearance by Clearcast (formerly BACC) and RACC respectively. Please refer to the online Code for a full explanation.
